Time

Your mother at 1 year old, taking her first step (& enjoying the moment). 3/1987
Your mother in high school when she graduated. 6/2005.

When I am with you I cannot help but think about  "time".  My mother (your great-grandmother Leona Moon) would tell me often, "Enjoy your children, the time goes by so quickly!"  And  her advice remained in the background for many years until your Aunt Carissa graduated from high school, when your cousin Penn was born, when your mother graduated from high school, and then your Uncle Tyler, when your cousin Margot was born, when you were born.  And now it resurfaces nearly every time I see you and hold you, and watch you grow.

One of my many favorite quotes is by Lord Chesterfield:

"Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it.  No idleness, no laziness, no procrastination; never put off till tomorrow what you can do today."

Every time I see you, I will seize the moment to tell you how much "I love you."
