Meal Time

;

So, what's for lunch?
"YUCK!"
"Look at the mess you made on my bib grandma."

Pink

"I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing,
kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong.
I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day
and I believe in miracles."
Audrey Hepburn

When I was at your Aunt Carissa's home, I was impressed with her beautiful
crocheting.  She crocheted you a gray blanket, white booties, and the cutest
stuffed rabbit.  I returned home inspired and began to crochet. Since I have crocheted
2 gray afghans, and  many wash clothes.  These pink ones are for you because I believe
in pink...

Breakfast

For breakfast today you had oatmeal with prunes.  Grandma had oatmeal with berries.

 It was finger licking good!

The last couple bites you were falling asleep on me.

When I got to work tonight, I realized I had splashes of oatmeal and prunes on my
glasses and it reminded me how much fun I had with you today :).

6 Months

You are now 6 months.  Our conversations have more depth to them now with emphasis on grabbing grandma's hair or glasses, hanging onto your feet when I'm trying to change your diapers, or rolling over.  Your facial responses are absolutely hilarious to grandma, especially when I'm feeding, or reading to you.  You chew your tongue just like your grandpa Gustavsen and mother.

Your mom and dad have started introducing cereal, a variety of fruit and veggies to your diet.  This of course makes for fun times and takes a little longer for clean up.

You pay more attention to Murphy now, and he seems to be enjoying the recognition.  I anticipate as your diet increases he will also enjoy any spills or splashes that land on the floor.

Daddy's girl

When you dad walks in the door and you hear his voice, suddenly grandma
is history.  You twist and turn your body in his direction and break out a
smile  that could melt the North Pole in a second. Once you are in his arms,
you look at grandma as if to say; "What is she still doing here????"

Bananas & Rice

Today grandma fed you some bananas with rice.  You stopped waving your arms and legs, and whatever you were talking about stopped and this is the look you gave me.

Like Grandpa, Like Mother

Your grandpa Willard chews his tongue, your mother chews on her tongue, and you...chew on your tongue.(Aug 5, 2011)
