Sometimes we just sit and look out the window, count cars, identify colors, watch people walk by, listen for the noon siren, the honking of cars, watch the sun rise. Sometimes you fall asleep and I listen to you sleep.
There are very few times in a girl's life that she will be considered absolutely adorable in a fuchsia colored tu tu, striped leggings, with chubby arms, legs, cheeks, and very little hair. This is one of them. You are absolutely adorable, and for a grandmother, those cheeks could be kissed a million times.
There have only been a couple times grandma has had the privilege of putting you to bed for the night. Your eyes get, heavy, you jabber and sigh a lot, and before long you are asleep. The other night I read you a story, you laughed and squealed and carried on with such delight, I didn't want to put you in your crib. Finally I said, "It's time for nite, nite." You stopped your jabbering and looked at me with such surprise.
