"Watch this grandma"

"Watch this...when I blow through my fingers...."
"...my stomach poofs out!"
"...it takes a lot out of me."
"zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"

Too Much!

It's hard to concentrate with the Leopard print on my clothes, that huge ladybug in the corner, the objects above me, and grandma telling me to smile...

Thank Goodness for Murphy

If it wasn't for Murphy we wouldn't know when the 6:00 AM Pepsi truck pulled up to the nearby Hardings grocery store to deliver.  We wouldn't of noticed "how many" cars, and trucks and SUV's stopped by the drop off mailbox across the street, nor would we realize how many schools buses drove by in the morning (or afternoon).  We would have missed the fact that the neighbors were leaving (or coming), and when the mailman dropped the mail in the slot.  If it wasn't for Murphy barking at the children walking by I would of thought it was 1:00 PM instead of 3:30 PM.  And when your mother or father drive in, thank goodness for Murphy who not only barks but wag's his tail vigorously to let us know it's not a stranger at the door.

Sunshine & Saturday

Marley (our black lab), making sure you're alright
Grandpa's feet

Today we woke up to sunshine! There is something about Spring,  morning sun, Saturday mornings, the sound of birds and you; that is "perfect" to grandma.  Grandpa and I took you out on the back deck.  Marley decided immediately you were okay.

We drank our coffee and ate our oatmeal.  We talked about growing old, how much we appreciated living in the country, the end of the world, business, life and how much you looked like your dad...and it was a "perfect" day.

3 Months

Today you are 3 months old and I forgot to bring the camera  when I came to babysit you (grandma's tend to forget sometimes).

You talked to the butterflies hanging down from your little seat, the little green worm, and you got a titch louder when I pulled the string to play the little tune.  Later on after your nap (our nap), you had quite a conversation with the green sea horse attached to your fun mat, and I swear you laughed when you accidentally hit the one of the toys.  I got a lot of smiles out of you when we played peek-a-boo.

You now react to Murphy when he barks, which can be quite often.  You give a very serious look and turn toward him (which reminds me of your mother when she was a baby).

Grandma loves you LillaMai!

& a good Saturday!

Today your father brought you to grandpa & grandma's house so grandma didn't have to get up so early (you dad's a great dad).  Grandma's "bed hair" says it all.

You & I were on the same page and both went back to sleep.

I strapped you in and we took Marley for his walk and sat out on the silo deck.

Once I got you and grandpa down for your naps, I made stir fry for lunch.

A Good Friday

Peonies

Pile of tree limbs picked up from the yard

Sleepy head

Gearing up for a walk

Murphy also geared up for the walk
Today was grandma's day off from the hospital and university.  A day of no rain, a day of sunshine, and 70 degrees, lunch with Grandpa and Uncle Tyler at the Back Door Cafe.  It was my first day working in the yard, picking up tree limbs, hanging flower baskets, and having the time to see what plants have started to bloom in the yard.  It was a day I put you in your bjorn carrier took you & Murphy for a walk.  It was the day I went to my first garage sale of the season (grandma enjoys garage sales, consignment shops & goodwill stores).  Dinner at Hacienda with grandpa splitting our favorite dish;the black bean wet burrito...today was a good Friday.
