Today

Today you insisted on holding your own bottle.
You pushed all the buttons on your walker,  squealing with every sound they made.  Your legs and feet were going a million miles an hour, and then you saw the star.
And you reached for the star.
Today there was a lot more activity of toys flying across the kitchen table, into
my oatmeal dish, onto Murphy, and into my coffee mug.Your noises of eating,
blowing bubbles with a mouth full of sweet potatoes,  grinning from ear to ear,
and squealing made we think what a happier place this would be if we would
never lose our enthusiasm over sweet potatoes, peas & teething toys...

Today.
